Walk in progress is a watercolour project initiated in Jena, Germany, a year ago. I wanted to finish it so many times, but I couldn’t. Perhaps one day I will.
But, somehow I’ve come to appreciate the idea of unknowing what lies in the background. It could be raining, I imagine; it could be sunny. Non-pigmented uncertainty. Could we, perhaps, conceive any concept? Weather independent, one truth remains: the leaf is essential.
For the moment, it remains a walk in progress. A walk through the forest, a forest of knowledge and still-uncovered mysteries. Through life, the path will reveal itself; there is no need to seek for it. As it will, suddenly, just appear.
Ahead, the emerging peak of an icy mountain, its frozen roots covering the ground. Perpetual spell of what is hidden. It is an austere environment. Yet the harshness of the winter will give light to the late spring.
We are incessantly foraging for answers, but reality unfolds as we acknowledge the veil of uncertainty. Envision lingers. A chrysalis trembles, unfurling its pristine wings. The sun shines.
